In each of the 54 implementing countries, the EITI is supported by a coalition composed of the government, companies, and civil society, chaired by the Champion. It is guided by the conviction that a country\u2019s natural resources belong to its citizens, and it seeks to strengthen government systems and inform public debate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justify\">The implementation of the EITI relies on two main mechanisms : the development of a multi-stakeholder platform and the annual publication of the payments made by extractive companies to the State, alongside the revenues actually received by the government through the various EITI Reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justify\">These reports make publicly available relevant, regular, and reliable data collected at the source, supported by contextual information about the country\u2019s sector, including :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list justify\">\n<li>Licenses (mining permits) and contracts (oil contracts),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Production and export data,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fiscal and non-fiscal revenues recorded by the tax and customs administration as well as the mining administration,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Various transfers within decentralized local authorities,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social and environmental expenditures by extractive companies\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/eitimadagascar.mg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/PIB-2022-Eng-1.jpeg\" data-original=\"https:\/\/eitimadagascar.mg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Timeline-EITI-2023.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1550 lazy\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Timeline de la mise en \u0153uvre de l&rsquo;EITI \u00e0 Madagascar<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>EITI Madagascar is governed by <a href=\"https:\/\/eitimadagascar.mg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/decret-2023-335-Fixant-le-Statut-juridique-EITI.pdf\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/eitimadagascar.mg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/decret-2023-335-Fixant-le-Statut-juridique-EITI.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">D\u00e9cret 2023-335 du 30 mars 2023<\/a> which establishes its legal status.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>L\u2019Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), est la norme mondiale pour la promotion d\u2019une gouvernance ouverte et redevable des ressources p\u00e9troli\u00e8res, gazi\u00e8res et mini\u00e8res.
