Together with the EITI Madagascar Champion, the National Committee is composed of three (03) colleges: the Government College, the Extractive Industries College, and the Civil Society College. The Extractive Industries College includes eight (08) representatives: Two (02) upstream oil company representatives, elected from among the members of the Professional Association of the Upstream Oil Sector of Madagascar (APPAM); One (01) representative from an upstream oil company not belonging to APPAM, elected by their peers; Four (04) mining company representatives, elected from among the members of the Chamber of Mines of Madagascar (CMM); And one (01) representative from a mining company not belonging to the CMM, which is the subject of this call for applications. To complete the Extractive Industries College of the National Committee, EITI Madagascar is recruiting: One (01) representative from mining companies – non-members of the Chamber of Mines of Madagascar (CMM) This representative, as a member of the National Committee, will be required to participate fully, effectively, and actively in Committee meetings as well as in all activities necessary for the implementation of the EITI Standard in Madagascar.

The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) is an international standard that promotes transparency and accountability in the management of revenues from the extractive industries, including mining, oil, and gas. EITI Madagascar is the national chapter of the EITI. According to Decree No. 2023-335 of 30 March 2023, EITI Madagascar, a public administrative institution, is responsible for implementing the EITI Standard as well as the principles of transparency and accountability in Madagascar’s extractive sector.
