The National Committee is the decision-making body of EITI Madagascar and serves as the multi-stakeholder forum for consultation and exchange among stakeholders in the transparency of the extractive industries. Its missions include :

  • making strategic decisions involving the EITI process in Madagascar independently;
  • adopting internal regulations for the bodies and structures of EITI Madagascar ;
  • approving a fully costed work plan aligned with the reporting and validation deadlines set by the EITI International Board ;
  • adopting the draft budget presented by the Executive Director ;
  • monitoring the EITI Madagascar process ;
  • approving EITI Madagascar reports and annual progress reports ;
  • participating in the Validation of EITI Madagascar.

The National Committee is composed of three (03) colleges : the Government College, the Extractive Industries College, and the Civil Society College.
